If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?

Immortality.  Essentially the ability to live forever without the worry of health and safety issues is what I would want.  To know that the day to day issues of the world and my own life could be ignored and I could watch as things change and alter and update would be absolutely wonderful, like the world being my very own fiction.

How have people mispronounced your name?  How is it supposed to sound?

Pet-it.  Peet-tree.  Peth.  Pee Tight.

Properly pronounced peh-teet.

But my favourite misheard mispelling mispronouncing related story was having an ex-coworker at my retail experience come and ask for me while I was on my lunch.  "A customer would like to see you, " she says.  I come up and am introduced to a confused couple.  "This is David," my coworker says.  They look even more confused.  Finally they say, "Do you carry day beds?"  I laughed for weeks.

What method do you use to prepare your coffee or tea?

Most common methods?  Drip coffee maker with flat bottom basket, drip coffee maker with paper cone basket, french press coffee and stove top espresso perculator.  Yeah I like my diversified coffee experiences.  This didn't include the various methods of getting it outside the home. And one connecting fact: always bold always black.

You must have been a fashion victim at least once in your life. What hideous blunder did you commit?

Uhhh, white pants all Crocket from Miami Vice.  And these were not in a beach or even summer environment.  White drawstring pants that I had to, with mercy, toss out after I sat on a stove at a house party and someone thought it would be funny to turn the burner on.

Ever get away with saying somebody else did it?

Yes.  It was one of the bad things I learned to do at The Store. 

I never learned so many bad habits as I did from The Store.  I learned to lie on a regular basis, to smile at people when I didn't mean it, to appear happy when I wasn't, to tell someone I would do them a special favour when I knew I probably wouldn't, to badmouth someone behind their back, to not tell someone something when telling them would have helped them out, to snap at someone just because I had become tired of answering their questions, to not understand that they were new at their job and needed time to learn.

I learned only a few good things: to truly cherish someone when you know they are interested in helping you, that sometimes acting happy when you are not can actually make you sort of happy and wearing a pair of tight dress pants can make people believe you actually care about your appearance.

What's the best way to spend a rainy day?

To be honest, though I haven't done it in say... 10-15 years, the best way I always had for spending a rainy day was playing D&D.  It's a hold over from being a kid -- when it was sunny and your parents wanted you OUTSIDE.  When it was raining they had no excuse so it was fun to gather a bunch of people and just play the day away. 

The other way I like to spend a rainy day is walking in the rain.

Which of your five senses (touch, taste, sight, hearing, or smell) do you value the most?

It is hard to say.  My eyesight has been going down since I lost full vision in the left eye -- the latest version of the eye surgery failed.  My ears have never recovered from the years of Walkman abuse.  I only have 30% sense of smell because I have enlarged sinuses and therefore my taste tends towards strong flavours.  But my touch IS very sensitive.  I still think I would have to say sight -- it would be the hardest to get around without, i wouldn't be able to do photography, play video games, watch TV & movies, see my beautiful GF's eyes, etc.  Yeah, that would be it.

What's the last thing you usually do or think about before you fall asleep?

I really should read more before I sleep.  Why don't I read more?  I could just pick up this book and read these three paragraphs and I would be reading before bed.  Here I am reading these three paragraphs and I am reading before I go to sleep.  I have read the first paragraph three times and have not understood a word.  I really should...
