Tales from the TTC, #1
Rather than digging out my massive novel and read on a cramped car, this will be the first of regular ponderings, in transit. First thing, build shorter sentences.
TTC Ettiquette. Please stand to one side of the door and please wait for us to get off before barreling on. Sometimes waiting for the next car is the only option. Pushing does help. Just because you got on the bus first doesn't mean u get to stand at the front -- move back. All the way back. If your backpack bumps me I will use it to steer you. Leaning against the pole allows only u to hold it. Feet in the aisle will be stepped on or kicked. Headphones impair your attention so we will move u instead of asking u 5 times loudly. Eat elsewhere if its anything but finger food. When coming up use the up escalator and if crowded be patient. If u do take all room on both stairs and escalator don't be surprised if u catch an elbow. If your pass isn't in your hand stand to the side not half way thru turnstile. Never stop suddenly on narrow stairs or platforms. Repeat, let me off before u ger on.
